In the seventh edition of Memphis Current we talk music with singer-songwriter Bailey Bigger. We discuss the integration of one of Memphis’ favorite former daycation spots — The Beach with Reach, Maywood Beach. We sit down with Tamra Patterson, the chef behind the delicious Chef Tam’s Underground Cafe, and talk about family, food and legacy. We share a drink with bartender Mary Connor Jones of Ecco on Overton Park to hear her thoughts on family, confidence and quarantine. Last we take a tour of the zoo as we hear the journeys of three of Memphis’ finest zookeepers, John Stanis, Katy Wade and Jenny Mitchell. We also revisit some of the artwork from our favorite past features, including Vanessa Gonzalez, Robert Fairchild, Juan Rojo, Ivy Jade Edwards, Houston Cofield and Mia Saine.
